Defensive Firearms Fundamentals Course

Service Description

A comprehensive 3 hour foundation in defensive firearms training focused on safety, situational awareness, decision making, and precision under pressure. Led by licensed instructor Chris Dorman, this course combines practical defensive shooting skills with real world self defense principles designed to help responsibly armed citizens build confidence, competence, and control with their firearm. Students will learn essential firearm safety rules, defensive mindset development, proper grip and stance, trigger control, recoil management, target acquisition, movement concepts, and techniques for improving accuracy during high stress situations. Training will also cover situational awareness, threat recognition, defensive shooting fundamentals, and how to remain calm and functional when confronted with pressure. The course includes one full hour of live fire range training where students will apply the concepts learned during instruction through structured defensive shooting drills focused on accuracy, control, speed, and practical application. Students will receive coaching designed to improve performance while reinforcing safe firearm handling practices in a dynamic training environment.
